and team competition events. These events include:
- Bareback Riding
- Cowboys try to ride a bucking horse without a saddle.
- Barrel Racing
- Cowgirls race the clock as they maneuver their horses around three barrels.
- Breakaway Roping
- Cowgirls on horseback try to rope a running calf.
- Bull Riding
- Cowboys try to ride a bucking bull with one hand.
- Tie
Down Roping
- Cowboys rope a running calf then wrestle it to the ground before tying three legs
together.
- Goat Tying
- Cowgirls ride to a tied goat before flipping it over and tying three legs together.
- Pole Bending
- Cowgirls weave their horses around poles as they race the clock.
- Saddle Bronc Riding
- Cowboys focus on technique as they ride a bucking horse.
- Steer Wrestling
- Cowboys dismount their galloping horse to wrestle a running steer to the ground.
- Team Roping
- Two riders try to rope a steer by its horns and rear feet in this timed event.
- Boys and Girls Cutting
- The challenge is to select a single calf from the herd,
gently guide it into the center of the arena and then prevent it from
escaping back to the herd.
